Although, it was supposed to be replacing some small, gravy/sauce ladles. It's not nearly deep enough for a decent gravy ladle. I used them the day of arrival for "salad bar night" in the house. Worked very well for salad dressing but, these are a touch too shallow for things like gravy or sauces. I can see myself using them for soup or stew as well.
