I was a little hesitant to order one of these things for fear that it would be flimsy cheap junk. That fear turned out to be unfounded. The bird bath came well packaged and arrived in perfect shape. The hanging wire and hook that come with it are more than sturdy enough to hang it and put water in it. I wouldn't call them heavy duty but they are sufficient.It doesn't seem to be a huge hit with the birds but some do land on it, drink out of it and occasionally splash around in the water a little bit. It doesn't seem as good for attracting birds as a regular bird bath but that may be because of the placement. Around here, all I've been able to attract with feeders and this bird bath are a bunch of little brown birds. While it doesn't hold much water, it may be a little deeper in the center than these small birds are comfortable walking into. You'll probably need to fill it up daily or at least every 3 days if you are in a hot or really dry environment.While it may or may not attract birds to your yard, birds do seem willing to land on it, drink out of it and test the waters to some degree. The quality is good, it looks nice and it comes with the basic hardware needed to hang it.
